Please join us as Dr. Pete VanDerlyke presents details from his doctoral presentation on Leading Indicators.
Based on research performed during Dr. VanDerlyke’s doctoral dissertation, this presentation will detail just how effective leading indicators are in the reduction of injury rates. While there are several articles touting the importance of measuring leading indicators, there is lack of research determining which (if any) leading indicators have a higher impact on reducing injury rates. This presentation discusses the findings of his research on the perceived effectiveness of several commonly implemented safety leading indicators such as near miss reporting, safety observations, trainings and safety inspections.
